At the same time she was a pioneer in the workplace health and wellness arena, developing ground breaking workplace initiatives with tangible outcomes measurement, a dynamic health risk assessment tool, and working with clients who received Excellence Canada recognition.
Leadership Ms. Balch was an early adopter of the Excellence Canada Healthy Workplace Criteria and gained her Certified Excellence Professional, Healthy Workplace designation. She was nominated as a finalist in the Benefits Canada Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. She has authored articles in benefits publications and spoken at numerous conferences and events across North America on the business case for employee wellness, successful workplace health programs and measurement, the integration of wellness and benefits and her family’s three generation journey to a mental health diagnosis.
It takes a team and the education programs delivered by Connex would not be possible without our expert presenters, the support of several advisory boards made up of industry leaders, the financial support from season sponsors, and Nathan Smofsky, our Marketing & Administrative Coordinator.
